Source Priority
- Tier 1: Official company websites, annual reports, regulators, official filings where publicly available.
- Tier 2: Official company social accounts, official press releases, public executive interviews.
- Tier 3: Google Business Profiles and reputable publications.
- Tier 4: Company submissions, which must be identified and reviewed before publication.
Research Process
- Identify the correct business entity.
- Collect relevant sources.
- Compare key facts across sources.
- Record source links and review dates.
- Draft structured Company Record fields.
- Editorially review material facts.
- Publish with Last Reviewed and correction access.
When Information Cannot Be Confirmed
MalaysianRecord does not fill gaps by guessing. If a material fact cannot be confirmed from a suitable source, the field may be omitted or shown as not publicly available.
Company-Submitted Information
Authorised businesses may submit updates and supporting evidence. Company submissions do not auto-publish and may be edited, rejected or returned for further evidence.
Reviews, Photos and Third-Party Information
Google review information must be attributed and location-aware. Photos must have a legitimate source or permission basis and should accurately represent the business, product, people or location shown.
Updating Records
Records display a Last Reviewed date and may include Record History. Corrections supported by reliable evidence are reviewed before publication.
